Our advantages
- 01
A complete supply chain under one operator
Haulage, port services, warehousing, shelf preparation and distribution — all of it run under a single operator and on one system. The client has one interface to the whole supply chain, with clear accountability and every event or exception handled in one place. The model cuts out interfaces between suppliers, unnecessary movement, interim storage and the operating costs that come with them.
- 02
Pricing that follows consumption
Rather than carrying the fixed costs of warehouses, equipment, personnel and systems, Sela’s model lets the cost follow the actual volume of activity. That makes it possible to cut exposure when activity falls, and to have operational flexibility when demand grows — with no need for significant infrastructure investment up front.
- 03
Value-added services
Sela Logistics offers a range of services that prepare the product for the Israeli market and for the shelf, in the place where it is already stored. They include bringing products into line with standards and market requirements, replacing plugs, producing labels and stickers, repacking, assembling kits and multipacks, returns handling, scrapping and recycling, and more.
- 04
Experience and expertise
Many years of operation in the Israeli market have given the group experience and expertise across a wide range of logistics processes, from working with ports and authorities to inventory management, distribution and receiving at the retail chains. That experience makes it possible to identify operational challenges in advance, to handle seasonal and regulatory change, and to match the solution to the client’s needs.
- 05
Nationwide distribution
A nationwide distribution operation, combining a fleet of vehicles in a range of sizes and configurations, which allows the service to be matched to the product, to the nature of the consignment and to the delivery requirements. The operation is run through advanced technology that allows tracking, control and real-time transparency across the distribution process.
- 06
Operational flexibility and tailored service
The logistics solution is built to the client’s needs from across the group’s services and capabilities — haulage, warehousing, distribution, product adaptation, security and more. The infrastructure, the personnel and the fleet already in place make it possible to match the scale of the operation to shifts in demand, and to respond quickly even when activity grows sharply.
- 07
A stable, experienced workforce
People are a central part of the group’s operational capability. Experienced, settled teams in the warehouses and across the distribution operation bring a deep familiarity with the working processes, the clients’ requirements and the delivery procedures. That operational stability helps reduce errors and hold a consistent service level over time.
- 08
Advanced information systems
The group works with advanced information systems that allow control and oversight across the whole supply chain, from goods-in to the delivery to the end customer. The group’s systems interface with clients’ own systems and produce reports and interfaces built for them, alongside the AYAL distribution platform, which provides real-time information and lets clients follow the status of orders and activity.
- 09
Security and safety
The compounds are run to strict standards of safety, security and quality control, with defined working procedures and a guarding and monitoring operation running 24/7. The aim is a safe working environment and continuous protection of stock across the whole supply chain.
- 10
A WMS running the logistics centres
The logistics centres run on an advanced WMS, which allows inventory to be controlled and overseen — from goods-in, through where the item sits in the warehouse and the management of orders, to its movement and despatch. The data is available to clients through a dedicated portal, which gives transparency and control in real time, with no need to contact the service desk for routine information.
- 11
Dedicated warehousing licences
The group holds a range of licences that allow the storage of cargo requiring dedicated conditions and supervision, among them a bonded warehouse licence, licences for storing food and for cosmetics and toiletries, and a licence for storing medical devices. The scope of that licensing lets the group serve a wide range of regulated products and concentrate the storage in line with the regulatory requirements.
